2005-06: Claimed the 200 butterfly title (1:50.15) and was a member of the first place 800 free relay team (6:46.68) at the CAA Championships...finished third in the 400 IM (4:00.02), fourth in the 200 free relay (1:24.76) and sixth in the 200 IM (1:55.05) at CAAs...part of the 400 free relay (3:07.23) that placed fifth...named to the Dean's List fall semester, earned CAA Commissioner's Award both semester, along with being named to the AD's Honor Roll.

2004-05: Won the CAA Championship in the 200-yard butterfly (1:51.50)...placed third in the 200 IM (1:53.03) and third in the 400 IM (4:01.73) at the CAA Championships...part of the 800 free relay team that placed second at CAAs (6:46.83)...named to the AD's Honor Roll spring semester...earned CAA Commissioner's Award.

2003-04: Swam the 200 butterfly at the CAA Championships in 1:52.23 for a third place finish...placed sixth in the 200 IM (1:54.80) and 10th in the 100 butterfly (51.34) at the conference championships...member of the second place 800 freestyle relay team at CAAs (6:44.68), as well as the fourth place 400 medley relay team (3:26.97)...named to the AD's Honor Roll both semesters.

Prep: Four year letterwinner in swimming...named all-conference four years and all-region for three...state champion in the 200 IM and conference MVP senior season...Eagles were four-time state champions.

Personal: Born Feb. 20, 1985...son of Eddy and Jane Houchin, who both swam for NC State...has two younger siblings, Charlie and Abby...swam for the Capital YMCA swim team for seven years...majoring in government and international politics.
